Hurray! The Vanier Graduate Scholarship Awards are being made available by the Canadian Government to all outstanding overseas students for the 2022–2023 school year.
Studying in Canada offers students the chance to attend top-tier universities as well as the chance to apply for permanent residency once they have finished their studies.
About
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship Award program supports students who exhibit both strong leadership qualities and a high level of academic achievement while pursuing graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, the natural sciences, and/or engineering and health.
Its goal is to draw in and keep top-tier doctoral students.

The Major-General Georges P. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) program aids Canadian universities in drawing in bright, outspoken doctorate candidates by honoring the first Francophone Governor General of Canada.

Scholarship duration and benefits
• The Scholarship has a three-year value of $50,000 per year (non-renewable)
•The three government organizations that provide grants are split equally.
• Institutes of Health Research in Canada (CIHR)
• Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)
• Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
Entry Procedure:
The institution where a candidate want to enroll in school must nominate them. The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program does not accept direct applications by a candidate.

Step 1: Look up Canadian institutions on the Universities Canada website before starting your application. We advise thoroughly investigating the programs of interest in which you would like to pursue your doctorate as well as potential supervisors for your planned study by reading each university’s own website.
Step 2: Check the Vanier CGS quota page to see if your desired college has a quota for the application year.
Essential Documents
Candidates must be prepared to submit the following Documents in order to apply:
• An application for ResearchNet (includes two letters of reference, each with three sections):
• A CCV (limited entries; for details, please visit Finishing the Common CV (CCV))
• Research contributions (maximum one page)
• A Statement of Personal Leadership (maximum 2 pages for English applications; maximum of 2.5 pages for French applications)
• Special Situations (maximum 0.5 page, optional)
• Two recommendation letters for leadership (maximum 2 pages)
• A proposal for research (maximum 2 pages for English applications; maximum of 2.5 pages for French applications)
• Sources for the Project (maximum 5 pages)
• Official Transcript transcripts
